Housekeeper

Location: Tavares, FL

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00/hour

($18/hour for candidates with lead housekeeping experience)

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join a hospital environmental services team in Tavares, FL. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare housekeeping experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where patient room turnover times can be as short as one hour.

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms following patient discharge
• Perform deep cleaning of hospital rooms and common areas
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces, bathrooms, and patient care areas
• Change linens, make beds, and restock room supplies
• Operate laundry equipment and handle linen processing
• Follow infection control and hospital cleaning procedures
• Maintain cleanliness standards throughout a 42-bed facility
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently to meet room turnaround expectations
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare housekeeping experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work rotating weekends

Must be available to work rotating weekends

Week 1:

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
• Off Monday and Friday

Week 2:

• Monday through Friday
• Off Saturday and Sunday

Shift Options:

• 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tavares, FL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
