Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive care to patients and their families with a focus on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as defined by the relevant standards and competencies for the assigned service area. The scope of practice encompasses care for neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults across all life stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and establish nursing diagnoses.
• Identify outcomes, plan interventions, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop, coordinate, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making regarding nursing practices.
• Implement personal leadership skills to enhance practice standards and care environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience (ICU/ED).
• Previous experience in the PACU setting.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic health record systems.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC).
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with both pediatric and geriatric patient populations.
• Experience in a Trauma Level I facility.

Work Schedule

The RN will work day and evening shifts, with specific shifts being 0700-1530, 0900-1730, 1100-1930, and 1500-2330. Weekend work is required every 3rd weekend.
