Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring active IL RN licensure and ACLS/PALS certification.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
• Level 1 Trauma Center environment
• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:30AM
• 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Holiday shifts as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
• Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for a designated group of ED patients
• Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and families
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
• Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year continuously; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
