Barback

ean's is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and fast-moving Barback to join our team. We're a high-volume, late-night operation where speed, organization, and teamwork are essential.

This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced environment with tight spaces, multiple levels, and stairs. We're looking for someone who can keep up with the pace, stay organized under pressure, and anticipate what the bartenders need before they ask.

• Keep bars fully stocked with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, and supplies throughout service.

• Prepare and maintain cocktail batches, fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, and other bar prep according to recipes and standards.

• Accurately measure, label, date, and rotate all batches and ingredients.

• Carry and transport cases, kegs, ice, and other supplies between floors using stairs.

• Navigate tight spaces and crowded service areas safely and efficiently.

• Restock stations quickly during high-volume service without disrupting bartenders or guests.

• Collect, wash, polish, and organize glassware.

• Maintain clean, organized, and fully functional bar stations, storage areas, and prep spaces.

• Assist with opening, closing, deep cleaning, and inventory.

• Communicate proactively with bartenders, managers, and fellow barbacks.

• Jump in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly.

• Availability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays , including shifts that extend into the early morning.

• Ability to work comfortably in tight, crowded spaces and move frequently between floors using stairs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Strong attention to detail, especially when preparing cocktail batches and following recipes.

• Ability to stay focused, organized, and efficient during extremely busy service.

• Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and willingness to take initiative.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude.

• Previous barback or high-volume hospitality experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of bar products, cocktail ingredients, and proper sanitation practices is a plus.

We need someone who moves with purpose, works clean, and doesn't wait to be told what needs to get done.

Jean's gets busy, the nights run late, the spaces are tight, and there's a lot of movement between floors. The right person understands that a great barback is essential to a successful night.

You should take pride in being prepared, keeping the team stocked, and making sure the bar never falls behind.
