Assistant Press Operator – Label Manufacturing

We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Press Operator to join a growing label manufacturing company in Surgoinsville! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build valuable manufacturing experience and advance within a company. The selected candidate will train on 1st shift during the training period before transitioning to either 2nd or 3rd shift. This position is located in a clean, climate-controlled facility and offers excellent potential for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Press Operator with daily machine operations and production activities
• Load and unload materials and assist with setting up press equipment
• Feed paper, labels, and other materials into the press
• Monitor machines during production and report any issues to the Press Operator or supervisor
• Assist with adjusting machine settings as directed
• Inspect labels and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects
• Measure and verify products meet customer specifications
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Remove finished rolls or materials from the machine and prepare them for the next stage of production
• Assist with changing rolls, plates, inks, or other materials as needed
• Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
• Maintain accurate production and quality records when required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience is preferred but not required
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Must be willing to train on 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd shift
