Role Overview

We are seeking a Production Support Analyst for a second-shift role supporting Markets lines of business within a high-pressure trading environment. The position requires a proficient problem-solver who can assimilate information from multiple sources and adhere to strict procedures for incident, service request, and change management. The analyst will serve as the first point of contact for business requests and reported system impacts, working to ensure the stability and efficiency of critical trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for business requests and reported impacts.
• Monitor and respond to alerts for critical trading system environments.
• Manage release implementations and conduct post-release testing.
• Build and maintain partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts.
• Troubleshoot complex systems issues and coordinate restoration efforts for high-impact technology incidents.
• Proactively identify and resolve recurring problem hotspots.
• Develop tools and drive improvements to enhance system efficiency and stability.
• Lead daily technical change meetings, managing global resources through the established change process.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Experience with operating systems such as Solaris, Linux, and Windows.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, including Unix Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Intermediate SQL skills, with capabilities in multi-table joins and grouping results.
• A well-rounded understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with infrastructure disciplines like network, server, storage, and messaging.
• Experience with incident, problem, and release management processes.
• Understanding of grid computing and batch management.

Professional Skills:

• Experience supporting traders or working in a front-office trading environment.
• Ability to rationalize the impact of multiple concurrent issues and prioritize work accordingly.
• Demonstrated communication and leadership skills.
• An independent sense of motivation for continuous personal and environmental improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with report generation and analysis tools such as Tableau.
• Knowledge of ITRS Enterprise monitoring tools.
