About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Pediatric Intensive Care – Kansas

Start Date: September 11, 2026

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; 2:1 patient ratio in a 15-bed Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU

Highlights:

• Travel assignment at a pediatric teaching hospital with a dedicated 15-bed PICU
• Collaborative care team including intensivists, respiratory therapists, case management, and support staff
• Electronic medical records: Meditech and CPN systems
• Specialized unit experience with CRRT, IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Manageable 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with robust interdisciplinary support
• Opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma center with diverse pediatric critical care cases

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current hospital-based Pediatric ICU (PICU) RN experience required
• Active RN license in good standing
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• CRRT experience preferred
• APHON certification preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience strongly preferred
