As a SQL developer and data engineer, you will help design, develop, and optimize data solutions that support federal health programs, regulatory science, and other high-impact missions.You will apply advanced SQL skills and hands-on Databricks experience to build scalable data pipelines, data models, and analytics-ready datasets. You Have:   5+ years of experience developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL solutions, including queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and data transformations, in Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, and Databricks SQL2+ years of experience with Databricks, including Databricks Workspace, notebooks, jobs, workflows, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and cluster configurationExperience with relational databases, data modeling, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and designing and implementing medallion architecture patternsExperience integrating data from databases, cloud data platforms, APIs, JSON, XML, and flat filesExperience in developing data engineering solutions in Python and managing code through Git or comparable source-control toolsExperience implementing automated testing, data validation, data reconciliation, and data-quality processesAbility to translate solutions across different SQL dialects and database environmentsAbility to work independently in an Agile, collaborative, and client-focused environment, troubleshoot complex issues, raise questions proactively, communicate potential risks, and recommended actions to management earlyPublic TrustBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Biostatistics, or MathematicsNice If You Have:   Experience with advanced Databricks capabilities, including Delta Live Tables, Workflows, and Unity CatalogExperience developing and optimizing data transformation workflows, including ETL and ELT processes supporting reporting, analytics, or operational systemsExperience with Pentaho or equivalent data integration and ETL toolsExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and software development practices for data solutionsExperience applying AI-enabled tools or techniques to improve data engineering workflows, pipeline performance, or developer productivityExperience with data governance, metadata management, data lineage, privacy, security, and access controlsExperience supporting federal health data systems, regulatory science, or other regulated data environmentsDatabricks, AWS Cloud, or Data Engineering technical CertificationVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client; Public Trust determination is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
