BG Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and professional Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily housing community in Fairborn, Ohio . Position Overview

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the community while assisting with leasing, resident relations, occupancy management, and affordable housing compliance. You will work closely with the Property Manager to ensure the property operates efficiently, resident files remain compliant, and occupancy goals are met.

The ideal candidate understands the importance of accuracy, organization, and exceptional customer service in a multifamily housing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of the apartment community
• Support leasing efforts, resident retention, and occupancy goals
• Process applications and assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process
• Handle affordable housing paperwork and compliance documentation
• Assist with certifications, recertifications, income verifications, and resident file management
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets program requirements
• Respond professionally to resident inquiries and concerns
• Collect and process rent payments and other administrative transactions
• Assist with lease renewals and resident communications
• Support the Property Manager with reports, audits, and administrative projects
• Help maintain a positive living environment and exceptional resident experience

Required Qualifications

✅ Previous Assistant Property Manager or Property Management experience required

✅ Affordable housing experience required

✅ Experience managing and processing affordable housing paperwork, certifications, recertifications, and compliance documentation

✅ Strong administrative and organizational skills

✅ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

✅ Professional communication and customer service skills

✅ Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

✅ Proficient with standard office software and property management systems

✅ Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude

This position requires a business professional wardrobe at all times while representing the community and interacting with residents, prospects, vendors, and ownership groups.
