Apply Today!Job Description:Lead the development and implementation of master plans for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systemsDirect technical studies, growth projections, and planning efforts that support utility capital improvement programsManage utility planning reviews for development projects to ensure compliance with County, utility, and regulatory requirementsOversee reviews of utility construction plans, site and development projects, subdivision plats, and public utility easementsCoordinate utility-related activities and permitting with state agencies, including FDOT projects and utility permitsProvide technical guidance and engineering support to utility operations for complex infrastructure issuesCollaborate with County departments, regulatory agencies, developers, property owners, and community stakeholders on utility planning initiativesSupervise, mentor, and develop planning staff through coaching, performance management, training, and recruitment activitiesDevelop and manage the Planning team's annual budget and identify staffing and resource needsMonitor departmental performance metrics and ensure planning objectives, regulatory requirements, and service standards are achievedWork Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.About YouMinimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or a highly related field AND four (4) years of job-related experienceOR- An associate's degree from an accredited college or university Civil Engineering or a highly related field AND six (6) years of job-related experienceAND-Two (2) years or more of supervisory experience in the operations and maintenance of repair and construction of water and sewer facilitiesRegistered Professional Engineer licensed (P.E. or P.G.) in the State of Florida at the time of hireA valid Florida Driver License at the time of hirePreferred Qualifications:Eight (8) years of experience in the field of utility engineering and planningKnowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to design and construction of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems and facilitiesExperience with Bentley’s SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, or other hydraulic modeling softwareExperienced in using Microsoft Office software, Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, and ArcGIS.Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening.
