Maintenance Technician - 1st shift

$1,000 Hiring Bonus after 1 year Hourly starting pay = based on experience Full-time 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm) Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. This includes working on machine cleanouts. Full scope of facilities and equipment maintenance for production. Follow all schedule maintenance orders. Work with operators to understand the problems, trouble shoot and resolve equipment issues timely to minimize disruption to production. Work on repairs and upgrades to the building facilities. Complete a variety of projects to improve machine safety, product quality and productivity. Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude gained through technical education coursework or the fixing of equipment. High school or equivalent degree required. Formal technical training in maintenance mechanic and electrical skills desired. Must be able to stand and walk around for up to 8 hours, frequently bend, crouch, kneel, climb and reach, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Able to operate forklift when necessary to move equipment or assist with repairs. Must be able to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety eyewear, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection. Good attendance, productivity and a positive demeanor.
