About the Position

Job Title: Float Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: Temp/Contract Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required License: Nursing license required (FL/Compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Must be flexible to float to other campuses as needed Description: This position requires a nurse with 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience. ED experience is not required, as there will be no floating to the Emergency Department. The nurse-to-patient ratio will be 4 to 6:1, depending on patient mix. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric populations. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is required, specifically Epic. Flexibility is essential, as the nurse will float to sister campuses. Degree accreditation must be documented in the profile or the nurse must have 5 years of experience. All demographic information, including address, email, full date of birth, full social security number, and RN license number, must be provided. Culture is highly valued, and travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff. Hard documentation deadlines are enforced. No exceptions will be made for pending documents.
