Required Skills:

• Valid and current Optometry license and certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in optometry
• Strong clinical skills in general eye care and patient management
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures and diagnoses clearly
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within a team
• Spanish speaking proficiency highly preferred

Nice to Have Skills:

• Bilingual abilities (Spanish-English)
• Experience working in an FQHC or similar community health setting
• Comfort with EMR systems and electronic health records
• Flexibility to work additional hours or at other locations as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
• Prior experience working in hospital or clinic settings

Other Requirements:

• Candidates should be local or willing to manage their own travel expenses, as the client is not covering travel costs
• Credentialing process may take 60-90 days
• Current schedule is Wednesdays and Fridays, with potential for additional hours at other locations
• Willingness to provide care for a fluctuating patient volume, with one week of EMR training and shadowing included
