Position Physician Assistant Job Type Pool / Non-Exempt Shift Details Flexible Schedule – Available Shift Hours 6, 10, & 12 Hour Shifts Work Location Crisis – Peoria, AZ – On‑Site Salary/Hourly Wage $85.00 – $90.00 per hour Specialties / Licenses or Certifications Master’s Degree or above from an accredited Masters of Physician Studies (MPAS) program. Physician Assistant‑Certified (PA‑C) credential required. Psychiatry CAQ (Certificate of Added Qualification) required. Valid DEA registration required. Valid and current state‑specific Physician Assistant license required. Summary of Job The physician assistant is responsible for coordinating and providing medical/clinical services including engagement, assessment, differential diagnosis, recovery service planning, medication management, education, risk assessment, and discharge planning. The role utilizes Recovery Coaching to maximize opportunities for recovery partnerships and a recovery environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Care & Advocacy: Provide appropriate treatment and referral according to individual’s needs; prescribe and administer medication; supervise special diet requirements; coordinate external medical and nursing support services. Compliance & Risk Management: Supervise or provide nursing and medical care in compliance with licensing regulations and accreditation standards; complete reviews for new individuals; initiate and respond to medical emergencies; communicate complaints and incidents; complete clinical documentation; stay current with regulations and RI policies. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care. Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education/Licenses: Master’s Degree or above from an accredited MPAS program. PA‑C credential required. Psychiatry CAQ required. Valid DEA registration. Valid and current state‑specific PA license. Experience: Experience in an acute psychiatric setting and training/experience in addiction preferred; appropriate training as a PA. Skills: Basic computer skills; strong attention to detail; problem‑solving; effective verbal and written communication; listening skills; documentation skills; ability to pass de‑escalation training; knowledge of involuntary commitment procedures; collaborative teamwork; judgment and discretion. Driving Requirements: Meet all requirements per RI driving policy or provide Non‑Driver Attestation if not qualified. Miscellaneous: Travel required; must be at least 18 years old unless state‑specific age requirements differ; complete comprehensive credentialing process; maintain confidentiality (HIPAA); second‑chance employer requirements (background, substance testing, education verification, fingerprinting, motor vehicle report). Physical Demands Work may involve close working to eyes, wrist and finger motions, frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling; requires eye‑hand coordination, use of corrected vision; may lift up to 20 pounds.
