Veolia has acquired Clean Earth. As Clean Earth completes its integration into Veolia, recruiting and hiring for this role is being managed in partnership with the Clean Earth talent acquisition team. Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and complete pre‑printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route. Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment. Conduct lab pack operations. Pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment. Perform various regulatory training, compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: pre‑trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, leaking containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately. Professional contact with all levels of customers daily in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels of personnel. Overnights required. Provide services related to hazardous and non‑hazardous waste removal from customer sites. Process and prepare universal hazardous waste manifests, bills of lading and land disposal restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations. Perform warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping. Adhere to assigned route via electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to management. Operate a hand truck, drum dolly, pallet jack & forklift. Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment. Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management. Pay Range: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour Qualifications Basic Requirements: High school diploma or GED Valid CDL Class B license Hazmat and tanker endorsement required for transporting waste By law, you must be at least 21 years of age. Preferred Requirements Three or more years of related industry experience Ability to operate a CMV and possession of a valid driver’s license free of moving violations and accidents Knowledge of facility permitting, DOT packaging requirements and OSHA regulations Driver E‑Log experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Knowledge of waste routing and disposal of hazardous materials 40‑hr Hazwoper certificate Additional Information Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
