Our client is a tech company focused on building autonomous energy production and transportation control systems. Their goal is to build a "Universal Controller" to help energy producers increase production from the wellsite, reduce costs, and optimize real-time energy flows. They are committed to proving their technology in the field through partnerships and have assembled a strong team with backgrounds from companies like Palantir and SpaceX.

Their mission is to optimize every aspect of energy production, transportation, and processing, starting with hydrocarbon production at the wellsite and extending to natural gas transportation and power generation.

About the Role

• Full-time, remote, USA.
• This role focuses on integrating critical data with machine learning models to optimize field operations.
• As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining APIs and backend services that support web and mobile applications.
• You will be involved in the full development lifecycle, from defining problems and discovering solutions to deploying and maintaining systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy backend solutions that interact with mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure smooth workflows.
• Engage directly with customers in the field to troubleshoot and improve the platform based on user feedback.
• Contribute to roadmap planning and feature development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Django and GraphQL in production environments.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience setting up application backends.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
