Lead Application Security Engineer

To enhance application and platform security through AI-driven practices, the remote Lead Application Security Engineer will manage threat modeling, security validation, and automated security capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Utilize AI-assisted tools for threat modeling and security reviews to identify and mitigate risks in applications and platforms Embed automated security testing into CI/CD pipelines and provide real-time feedback to developers Monitor evolving security threats and design proactive defense mechanisms across applications and APIs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Security Engineering Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure design principles, and application threat modeling Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts and experience with modern application frameworks Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments, as well as security testing and automation tools
