About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to join its executive team and lead the Asset Management Group. The CIO will be responsible for executing the firm's investment philosophy and process, managing the trading platform, and serving as the senior-most voice on all investment-related matters. This includes asset allocation, manager and strategy selection, portfolio construction, and capital markets research. The successful candidate will also be tasked with ensuring investment and operational consistency across all client portfolios, chairing the Investment Committee, and maintaining relationships with custodians, asset managers, and research providers. The role demands a strong leader with a deep understanding of both public markets and alternatives, and the ability to mentor and support the investment team. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive investment experience, with a focus on senior portfolio management, asset allocation, or manager research. A CFA charter is required, and a CAIA or advanced degree (MBA) is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building or leading an investment committee and a strong background in institutional-level due diligence and negotiation. Experience in trading desk operations and portfolio management technology decisions at an enterprise level is essential. The CIO will be expected to be a strong communicator, capable of engaging with a range of stakeholders, and to work closely with the executive leadership on firm strategy.
