With state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to personalized care, NYH is setting a new standard for healthcare in our communities.Join us and become a part of our mission to promote **lifelong wellness through compassionate, evidence-based practices** that empower patients on their healthcare journeys.**Job Description:**# **Medical Assistant - OBGYN (Float)****Location: Port Jefferson, Patchogue, & Smithtown, NY****Hours/Days: 5 8.5 hour days, Mon-Fri between 7:30am-8pm****Organization: New York Health (NYH) - OBGYN****In this role, you will:*** **Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording*** **Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests*** **Record patients' vital signs*** **Prepare patients for examinations*** **Sterilize medical equipment and instruments*** **Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process*** **Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures*** **Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing*** **Other duties as assigned** **We require:*** **A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma*** **Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)*** **Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching*** **Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids*** **Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.*** **Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs** **What we offer:** **Salary: Starting at $22 per hour****Benefits: Including health insurance from Day 1, dental and vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401k, PTO, 8 paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays), and more.** **Join us at NYH, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.****Visit our website at: Nyhealth.com Follow us on Facebook: NYH on Facebook \\*New York Health is an Equal Opportunity Emploer.\\*** #J-18808-Ljbffr OneOncology
