Hand Surgeon Opportunity

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

We are excited to announce a full-time position for a hand surgeon within our Department of Surgery. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in both academic pursuits and trauma care. Our department supports Valleywise Health, a community hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both the State and the American College of Surgeons, situated in the metropolitan area of Phoenix.

We are looking for a hand surgeon who is passionate about resident education and eager to become a vital part of our active hand practice. This practice places a strong focus on trauma cases and collaborates closely with the general surgery trauma team. The selected surgeon will join the Department of Surgery, taking on responsibilities that include:

• Serving as a faculty member
• Assisting the Hand Section Chief in enhancing the clinical service line
• Providing both inpatient and outpatient care for elective, urgent, and emergency hand patients
• Engaging in teaching activities
• Participating in on-call coverage

Additionally, our department oversees a General Surgery and Surgical Podiatry Residency Program, offering supervision to residents rotating through plastic surgery.

The ideal candidate should be board certified or eligible and have completed the Certificate in Added Qualifications for Hand Surgery or be certified/eligible in Surgery of the Hand. A collaborative approach to patient management is essential.

Our organization is a not-for-profit faculty practice plan, operated by physicians and comprising over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. We serve as the academic faculty practice for Creighton University in Phoenix and are affiliated with Valleywise Health, the region's most comprehensive teaching hospital and medical center.
