This role will have a mix of office and field-based responsibilities across a broad range of multi-year projects within aerospace, water treatment, and more. We are open to this Engineer being located in Los Angeles in a remote capacity to support our clients.We offer a comfortable and collaborative work environment. This Project Engineer will travel approximately 50% of the time in Southern California.Key Responsibilities:* Construction management/inspection activities* Design of water, wastewater, and other infrastructure systems and facilities* Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a wide variety of groundwater/wastewater projects* Support project managers with client relations, stakeholder management, and sub-consultant coordination* Industrial Process Control and Control Systems Design* Assist in proposal preparation, including oral presentations.* Prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects* Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects* Take ownership of projects from start to finish* Review submittals and RFIs, prepare designs for a variety of projects, keeping within budget and meeting timelines/milestonesMinimum Qualifications:* 3+ years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater project design* At least one year of experience in field construction oversight* Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering* Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships* Ability to learn and adapt* Ability to manage several project tasks concurrently* Ability to work independently on construction sites* Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills* Ability to establish and maintain relationships with multi-disciplinary team membersPreferred qualifications:* Familiarity with Project Management platforms such as ACC* Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6* California P.E. license or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe### Why Join MacKay?A people-first culture At MacKay, we put people first. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.*US Pay Range$43—$58 USDFull-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
