SSAG is hiring for full-time Operations Research Analyst (MBSE Lead) at HQ USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE.

Responsibilities

The Operations Research Analyst serves as the Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) lead for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) digital engineering efforts, guiding the development of model architectures, workflows, and analytic approaches across multiple MBSE toolsets, including ArcherEye, Veracity, and comparable systems. In this role, the analyst oversees and directs the creation and refinement of system‑of‑systems models to ensure fidelity, traceability, and alignment with NC3 mission requirements and operational objectives. The analyst leads MBSE‑driven modeling and simulation activities by defining use cases, selecting appropriate methodologies, validating analytical results, and ensuring rigor throughout the analytical process. The position also involves leading data‑collection activities, requirements reviews, and cross‑functional technical exchanges to support comprehensive NC3 system‑of‑systems assessments. The analyst evaluates and validates analytical outputs, identifying risks, performance trends, dependencies, and mission‑level impacts to ensure findings are actionable for decision makers. Additionally, the analyst produces high‑quality technical deliverables, including engineering documentation, mission‑assurance analyses, and senior‑level presentations. The analyst represents MBSE and mission‑engineering efforts in stakeholder meetings, providing authoritative analytical insight and recommendations, while mentoring junior analysts and strengthening SSAG's MBSE capabilities through continuous improvement of modeling standards, best practices, and tool usage.

  • Must be able to work full-time onsite (5 days/week) at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB).
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, physical science, operations research, data science, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2–5 years of MBSE experience with tools such as ArcherEye, Veracity, Cameo, MagicDraw, or comparable systems; experience leading or coordinating MBSE activities.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining system-of-systems architectures and applying MBSE methods to mission or operational analysis.
  • 2–5 years experience using modeling and simulation software to represent physical systems and perform analytical and statistical assessments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting analysis for the Department of War (DoW).
  • Experience supporting NC3 or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) mission-level modeling and operational assessments.
  • Experience with MBSE languages and frameworks (SysML, UML, UAF, UPDM).
