Sterile Processing Technician/SPT

Under direct supervision, cares, handles and stores instruments, supplies and equipment necessary for surgery and processed goods for redistribution throughout the Medical Center. Assists Sterile Processing Specialists with various team lead duties, such as maintaining competencies.

• Provider must have 24 months minimum of current Sterile Processing Technician/SPT experience - REQUIRED
• Must hold HSPA certification for at least 2 years to apply - REQUIRED

About the Facility

24 hours unbillable 1.5x OT/Call Back/Holiday OT starts after 48 hours $8 On Call/ $6 Charge Candidates may request off the equivalent of 1 week of their contracted hours. For a candidate who is contracted for 36 hours a week; they may request 36 hours off. This can be done in up to a 7-day time block (1 week) or a total of 36 hours if the dates requested off are separate. A candidate contracted for 40 hours/week would be able to request off 40 hours. Candidates will be considered for orientations scheduled up to 6 weeks out. RN and CNA orientations are held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday The 257 licensed bed facility (acute and sub-acute care) is located on a beautiful suburban campus that handles more than 23,000 admissions and over 52,000 emergency room visits annually.
