Construction Project Manager

Location: Dallas, TX Employment Type: Temporary / Contract (project-based) Duration: As needed (estimated 4–9 months depending on project timeline) Reports To: Executive Vice President (Miami HQ) About the Role Costex Tractor Parts (CTP) is seeking a highly organized, hands‑on Relocation Project Coordinator to manage the full transition of our Dallas warehouse from its current facility to our new location. This is a project‑based role focused solely on executing a smooth, efficient, and well‑coordinated move with minimal operational disruption. This position requires someone who is detail‑oriented, dependable, proactive, and exceptional at coordinating vendors, timelines, and logistics. Title‑driven people need not apply — we want someone who gets things done. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination Develop a full relocation plan and timeline for the warehouse move. Identify project milestones, phases, and critical deadlines. Maintain communication with Miami HQ regarding progress, obstacles, and updates. Vendor Management Source and evaluate vendors including: Moving companies Racking installers Warehousing equipment movers IT cabling and network setup Electrical, HVAC, lighting contractors Clean‑out crews, disposal services, etc. Obtain quotes, compare pricing, negotiate contracts, and make recommendations. Coordinate vendor scheduling and oversee their work onsite. Warehouse Move Logistics Plan the physical movement of inventory, racks, workstations, machinery, and equipment. Ensure proper labeling, packing, sequencing, and load‑out. Coordinate forklift rentals, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment logistics. Work with Dallas warehouse team to minimize operational downtime. Facility Setup & Readiness Coordinate: IT infrastructure setup (WiFi, cameras, cabling) Security systems Office setups Shelving/racking installation Dock equipment readiness (dock plates, bumpers, lifts) Ensure the new warehouse is fully functional before go‑live. Compliance & Safety Ensure all permits, insurance, and compliance documentation are completed as required. Work with CTP’s Miami leadership to ensure the new facility meets operational and safety standards. Communication & Reporting Provide weekly updates to Miami HQ on progress, budget status, vendor issues, and next steps. Escalate urgent issues immediately. Maintain organized project files and documentation. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience coordinating warehouse, facility, or corporate relocations. Strong project coordination and vendor management skills. Ability to multitask and manage tight timelines. Hands‑on, practical approach — must be comfortable working onsite at the warehouse. Clear, timely communication — no delays or unanswered messages. Strong negotiation, organization, and follow‑up skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
