Job Summary: The Cardiovascular Technologist plays a vital role in assisting physicians with invasive cardiac and peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including pacemaker placements and circulatory support device management. This position requires coordination, technical proficiency, and adherence to safety standards to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and organize procedural equipment and sterile trays for each intervention.
  
  
• 
  Assist in patient positioning, monitoring setup, and calibration of pressure transducers.
  
  
• 
  Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, including device implantation and hemodynamic assessments.
  
  
• 
  Operate and maintain specialty imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment, ensuring accurate data collection and storage.
  
  
• 
  Manage vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostatic device application while maintaining access site hemostasis.
  
  
• 
  Participate in inventory control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to clinical information systems protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, or Applied Science (AAS) program.
  
  
• 
  Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the AHA; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 3 months.
  
  
• 
  Successful completion of RCIS exam by CCI or Radiologic Technologist License within 1 year of hire.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, intra-procedural mapping, ablation, and implantable devices.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills and proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
