Radiation Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The Radiation Therapist will work in the Oncology Department, providing radiation therapy services using Varian TrueBeam and IX systems, along with Aria software. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients in a supportive and compassionate environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a physician.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Monitor patient conditions during treatments and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• One year of radiation therapy experience.
• Current New York state license in hand is required.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Possess knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Maintain all necessary registries and licenses as required by state and federal laws.
