Interior Mechanic

The Interior Mechanic services, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, preserves, maintains, and overhauls aircraft, aircraft systems, and aircraft components in accordance with policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the company, applicable government agencies, and aircraft manufacturers as contained in approved Maintenance Manuals.

This role requires hands-on technical expertise in aircraft interiors and associated systems, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Minimum requirements and qualifications include two years' experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO company, a valid Airframe & Powerplant license is a plus but not required, thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support heavy maintenance service, ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings, efficiency in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc., understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignment, meeting the qualifications to obtain a SIDA badge, high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license.

Major responsibility areas and duties include working according to written and/or verbal instructions, performing all work assigned in accordance with approved maintenance procedures, recording work performed and assuming responsibility for that work, using blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and Maintenance Manuals in performance of assigned duties, performing touch-up painting as needed, maintaining Airframe license in a current status and carrying it on their person when at work, and doing experimental and developmental work as assigned.

Physical requirements and environmental conditions include being able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods, climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights, work with one or both hands extended overhead, have correctable near and far vision, hear at conversational level, lift 25 pounds, handle and maintain control of small parts, and properly operate hand tools.
