Business Immigration Consultant Fragomen’s Business Immigration Consultant provides direct client service and manages the full cycle of employment‑based immigration cases, including preparation, filing, status monitoring, and client communication. Overview This role places a high priority on specialized immigration knowledge, client interaction, and continuous improvement of processes within a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment. Responsibilities Perform substantive, client‑facing work including case preparation, filing of petitions, document gathering, review, drafting, and status reporting. Monitor case progress through case‑management and billing systems, run reports, and assist with case reviews. Conduct client intake, troubleshoot issues, establish case strategy, and recommend solutions and process improvements. Generate clear, well‑organized written products that demonstrate accurate application of immigration law. Communicate proactively with foreign nationals and client contacts on status and general inquiries. Adhere to Service Level Agreements, report progress, and escalations to supervisors. Assist in hiring and training of new team members and identify ways to improve team productivity and office projects. Identify and incorporate changes in immigration policy into processes with leadership. Maintain fluency with case‑management and reporting tools and technologies. Follow firm standards and policies to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance. Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by seeking opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, Paralegal certification, or equivalent experience in a client‑facing or customer service role. At least 4 years of business immigration experience (e.g., paralegal). Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for non‑immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and fluent prose. Experience with MS Word and Excel. Compensation The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 – $89,000.00 for employees eligible to work a hybrid schedule in the local office. Compensation is contingent on experience, qualifications, location, and other factors.
