Human Resources Assistant

Carolina PRG has partnered with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the day-to-day HR operations. This is a highly visible role that partners with employees, supervisors, and leadership across the organization while supporting recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll support, and HR compliance. Responsibilities Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and I-9 compliance. Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date. Assist with recruiting activities, including resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate communication. Support employee relations by partnering with supervisors on attendance, disciplinary documentation, policy interpretation, and other HR matters. Administer benefits, including 401(k), medical, dental, disability, FMLA, and open enrollment activities. Process employee status changes, including pay changes, direct deposits, tax forms, garnishments, and personal information updates. Assist with payroll processing, timekeeping, attendance reporting, and overtime tracking. Coordinate workers' compensation claims, unemployment requests, OSHA documentation, and random drug testing programs. Partner with outside vendors for uniforms, benefits, insurance, and other employee-related services. Support HR process improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. Qualifications 3+ years of Human Resources or administrative experience. Associate's degree or currently pursuing a degree preferred. Experience supporting onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and HR compliance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
