This includes managing high-risk prematurity, complex respiratory therapies, advanced nutritional support, and specialized newborn stabilization, alongside supporting dedicated neonatal transport team operations. What you will do in this role:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for both NICU and Newborn Nursery patients.
• Perform detailed clinical neonatal assessments, including specialized gestational age evaluations.
• Meet all practice criteria for Level II and Level III NICUs while managing assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Participate in mandatory unit education and ongoing activities to measure, assess, and improve patient care standards.
• Support the provision of services by participating in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
• Facilitate the patient discharge process, including vital education and teaching for parents.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• Current BLS, and NRP issued from American Heart Association required
• STABLE certification preferred.
• 1 year of clinical NICU, Neonatal ICU experience as a licensed RN in a hospital required.
