What you will do:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care services in accordance with the law and state practice act and as directed by a plan of care formulated by a Licensed Occupational Therapist. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant may also supervise and delegate appropriate functions to rehab technicians.

Required Education:
Associates Degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant

Required Skills:
Basic computer skills, good interpersonal skills, basic organizational and time management skills, basic knowledge and skills to care for the physical needs of the population served.

Required Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Current Texas license as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and BLS

Preferred Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Advanced skills/certifications in specialty areas.

Required Experience:
Work/educational experience in the healthcare field. Experience working with a pediatric population.

Preferred Experience:
One year experience as a COTA in a healthcare setting.
