Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid, active Louisiana Educator Certificate required
• Preference given to candidates with a Special Education (SPED) Educator Certificate; Elementary 1-5 Certificate applicants will also be considered
• Previous experience working in a self-contained classroom or with elementary special education students is highly valued
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive learning practices
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each learner’s unique strengths and needs
• Collaborate with families, support staff, and general education teachers to ensure comprehensive student support
• Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance records
• Create a positive, structured classroom environment that supports the social and academic development of all students
