Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) to provide exceptional care to patients and their families. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a supportive and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments according to policy.
• Assess and manage pain using appropriate evaluation methods and techniques, while educating patients and their families on pain management strategies.
• Develop, revise, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient responses and daily effectiveness.
• Deliver patient care that respects and accommodates the unique needs of patients across different age groups.
• Administer medications accurately according to established guidelines, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
• Formulate teaching plans tailored to patient and family learning needs and assess the effectiveness of the education provided.
• Utilize technical and manual skills to perform various patient care procedures safely.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to address comprehensive patient needs.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document all patient care activities in compliance with current standards and policies.
• Ensure the safe operation of medical equipment during patient care.
• Exhibit flexibility, organization, and professionalism in high-stress situations.
• Participate in ongoing education and competency assessments to enhance nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing is required.
• Experience in postpartum and nursery care is essential.
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP are required.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Must possess an active Ohio or compact nursing license at the time of application.
