Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Unit

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 06:15, every other weekend, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a mixed acuity pulmonary unit. Responsibilities include managing ventilator patients, administering medications, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care for pulmonary patients, including those with tracheostomies and requiring high flow oxygen.
• Manage critical care interventions and assist in procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of patient care.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Candidates must hold current NIHSS and BLS certifications.
• Epic charting system experience is required.
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical and religious exemptions allowed.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing; no license hits accepted.
