DC Enclosures, Inc. is an established residential construction company serving homeowners since 1988. We specialize in sunrooms, screen enclosures, pool enclosures, patio covers, and outdoor living spaces.
We are seeking a dependable, highly organized, and hands-on Construction Safety, Fleet & Equipment Compliance Supervisor. This person will be responsible for jobsite safety, employee training, fleet inspections and maintenance coordination, ladder and fall-protection compliance, and the management of company tools and safety equipment.
This is not strictly an office position. The supervisor must regularly visit jobsites, inspect vehicles and equipment, work directly with installation crews, correct unsafe practices, and maintain accurate digital compliance records.
Key Responsibilities
Jobsite Safety and Crew Compliance
Conduct routine and unannounced jobsite safety inspections.
Monitor compliance with applicable OSHA construction standards and company safety policies.
Confirm that crews are using the proper personal protective equipment and safety equipment for each job and application.
Identify unsafe work practices, correct immediate hazards, and document required corrective action.
Verify that employees are properly trained and authorized before using ladders, fall-protection systems, forklifts, power tools, and other company equipment.
Provide hands-on safety coaching and follow-up training when deficiencies are identified.
Lead and document weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Assist with incident investigations, injury documentation, corrective-action plans, and required follow-up.
Maintain organized safety inspection, training, incident, and compliance logs.
New-Employee Safety and Equipment Training
Train new employees on the safe and proper use of company tools, ladders, fall-protection systems, personal protective equipment, and jobsite equipment.
Verify that required training is completed before an employee performs restricted work or uses specialized equipment.
Document employee training, certifications, acknowledgments, and equipment authorizations.
Provide refresher training when unsafe practices or improper equipment use are observed.
Vehicle and Trailer Compliance
Complete and document a detailed safety inspection of company vehicles and trailers each week.
Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and follow up on reported defects or safety concerns.
Monitor tires, lights, brakes, mirrors, windshield condition, safety equipment, registrations, insurance documentation, and general vehicle condition.
Track preventive maintenance, service intervals, registrations, repairs, and inspection deadlines.
Remove unsafe vehicles or trailers from service until repairs are completed.
Obtain competitive estimates and negotiate the best reasonable pricing for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Coordinate approved repairs with qualified service providers and verify that the work has been completed.
Maintain accurate digital vehicle inspection, maintenance, repair, and compliance records.
Monitor compliance for the companys F-350 and F-450 crew-cab trucks and work trailers.
Ladder and Fall-Protection Inspections
Inspect and document company ladders according to the required inspection schedule.
Maintain an inventory identifying each ladder, its assigned truck or crew, inspection status, and condition.
Remove damaged or noncompliant ladders from service and coordinate replacement or repair when appropriate.
Inspect harnesses, lanyards, anchors, lifelines, and other fall-protection equipment.
Track the assignment, condition, inspection history, and replacement dates of fall-protection equipment.
Confirm that crews understand which ladder and fall-protection systems are appropriate for the work being performed.
Verify that fall-protection equipment is being used correctly at jobsites.
Tool and Equipment Management
Maintain an accurate inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and safety supplies.
Track tools and equipment assigned to each employee, crew, truck, or jobsite.
Conduct routine inspections of hand tools, power tools, extension cords, generators, and other equipment.
Confirm that required guards, handles, grounding components, and other manufacturer safeguards are installed and functioning.
Remove damaged or unsafe tools from service immediately.
Coordinate tool servicing, preventive maintenance, repair, and replacement.
Research and procure appropriate tools, replacement parts, and safety equipment for crews.
Compare vendors and pricing to obtain the best value while maintaining required safety and quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure crews have the tools and safety equipment needed to perform their work correctly.
Compliance and Recordkeeping
Maintain complete and current digital logs for safety inspections, vehicle inspections, ladder inspections, fall-protection equipment, tools, employee training, maintenance, and repairs.
Monitor forklift inspections and operator certifications.
Assist with maintaining the company Safety Manual, Employee Handbook, and written safety procedures.
Support Georgia Drug-Free Workplace compliance requirements.
Prepare regular compliance reports for management and promptly report overdue inspections, unresolved hazards, damaged equipment, or repeated violations.
Follow corrective items through completion rather than only documenting the original issue.
Required Qualifications
OSHA 30 Construction certification.
Three to five years of construction safety, field supervision, equipment management, fleet compliance, or related experience.
Practical knowledge of construction tools, ladders, fall-protection equipment, personal protective equipment, and safe work practices.
Ability to train employees and firmly but professionally enforce company safety requirements.
Strong organizational, follow-through, and digital documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn mobile inspection and recordkeeping applications.
Ability to recognize mechanical, vehicle, tool, and equipment safety concerns.
Clean motor vehicle record and valid drivers license.
Ability to travel locally between the Kennesaw office, repair facilities, and active jobsites.
Ability to work outdoors and in active residential construction environments.
Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience supervising residential construction crews.
Experience managing a light-duty truck and trailer fleet.
Experience with tool inventory, equipment procurement, or maintenance coordination.
Familiarity with OSHA 1926 requirements.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Forklift trainer or operator certification.
CDL is preferred but not required.

Keep vehicle, ladder, fall-protection, training, and tool-inspection records current.
Ensure crews consistently have and use the correct equipment for each application.
Reduce preventable tool damage, equipment loss, vehicle downtime, and safety violations.
Train new employees thoroughly before allowing them to perform higher-risk work.
Maintain professional working relationships with employees, management, vendors, and repair providers.
Be comfortable holding employees accountable while also providing practical instruction and support.
Compensation
$27.00$34.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Overtime paid in accordance with applicable state and federal law.
Performance bonus opportunity of up to $5,000 annually.
