This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated trust and estate disputes, financial elder abuse matters, fiduciary litigation, and high-net-worth family conflicts.The successful candidate will work directly with clients on complex trust and estate litigation matters while helping supervise junior attorneys and contributing to the continued growth of the practice. The firm is seeking a candidate who has both strong litigation skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, with interest in developing and expanding a long-term practice.This position offers significant autonomy, leadership responsibility, client contact, and a clear path toward continued advancement within an established California law firm.ResponsibilitiesHandle complex trust and estate disputesManage fiduciary litigation mattersRepresent trustees, beneficiaries, executors, and fiduciariesHandle trust contests and will contestsManage contested probate mattersLitigate financial elder abuse claimsLitigation Strategy & Case ManagementManage cases from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, and legal memorandaConduct discovery and depositionsParticipate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court appearancesDevelop litigation strategy and case plansClient Relationship ManagementServe as a trusted advisor to clientsManage client expectations and communicationBuild and maintain long-term client relationshipsAssist with business development and practice growth initiativesLeadership & MentorshipSupervise and mentor associatesReview attorney work productAssist with training and professional developmentSupport practice management initiatives8+ years of Trust & Estate Litigation experienceStrong experience handling contested trust and probate mattersExperience with fiduciary disputes and financial elder abuse litigationExperience supervising junior attorneys preferredStrong analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsJuris Doctor (JD) requiredActive California Bar membership requiredExperience with a respected regional, midsize, or AmLaw firm preferredPartial portable book of business preferredDesire to build and grow a long-term California practiceBase plus Incentive Compensation
