We value talent at every location and offer a hybrid schedule with work-from-home flexibility. Position Summary We are seeking a Payroll Specialist for our Cleveland office. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with accounting or finance experience who wants to grow in payroll within a small, collaborative group. Position Responsibilities Ensure new hires are correctly set up. Manage termination pay and final payments accurately. Administer taxes correctly. Review time cards for accuracy. Prepare payroll processing for salaries, overtime, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and deductions. Track leave of absences and ensure accurate payment entries. Prepare analyses related to payroll transactions, employee demographics, and insurance data. Assist in processing pension contribution changes. Process payments to benefit companies and reconcile billing. Serve as a resource and interact with employees to answer payroll questions. Assist with annual audits. Prepare ad hoc payroll reporting and analysis as needed. Maintain strong knowledge of payroll regulations and reporting requirements, including multi‑state payrolls. Identify areas for continuous improvement and collaborate with Payroll/HR/Finance team members to implement changes. Maintain strict confidentiality of the firm’s client and personnel information. Build relationships and foster a collaborative approach with internal clients across practice groups and management. Demonstrate willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet firm expectations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Key Competencies Proficiency with Excel, strong attention to detail, and a customer‑first mentality are essential. Versatility is also required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred. At least one year of experience in accounting, payroll, or a similar office environment is required. Experience with ADP Workforce is considered a plus. Must be an organized self‑starter who is detail‑oriented and embraces a First‑in‑Service attitude. Salary $56,000 – $70,000 per year.
