We are looking for an Accountant to join a team in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, in a Long-term Contract position with the potential to become a permanent staff role. This opportunity is well suited for an accounting specialist with at least two years of staff-level experience who can adapt to shifting priorities, follow direction effectively, and contribute across core accounting activities. The role offers a hybrid schedule with typically one work-from-home day per week and possible flexibility for additional remote time.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Review accounting activity across the general ledger and investigate transactions to ensure entries are properly recorded.

• Support updates to the chart of accounts within QuickBooks to improve financial organization and reporting accuracy.

• Manage and help reduce outstanding intercompany purchase order and job costing items by researching issues and coordinating follow-up actions.

• Prepare and post journal entries as needed to support routine accounting operations and period-end activities.

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to help maintain efficient daily financial operations.

• Use Excel to analyze data, track open items, and prepare schedules that support accounting review and decision-making.

• Respond effectively to changing business needs while working closely with the accounting team to complete priorities accurately and on schedule.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a staff-level accounting role.
• Hands-on experience with account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to organize, review, and analyze financial data.
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
• Ability to research accounting transactions and identify the source of discrepancies.
• Comfortable managing multiple assignments and adjusting to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction well in a collaborative team environment.
