Tooling Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Tooling Manager to lead and support tooling operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on tooling professional with a strong background in metal stamping, die design, tool & die operations, and interpreting engineering drawings . The successful candidate will have the technical expertise to support production needs, troubleshoot tooling challenges, and provide leadership to a skilled tool room team. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations of the tool room, including tooling maintenance, repairs, improvements, and production support Provide technical guidance on metal stamping processes, die design, and tooling performance Review and interpret SolidWorks/CAD drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to improve tooling reliability and efficiency Troubleshoot die issues and recommend corrective actions to minimize downtime Support new tooling projects, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives Manage, mentor, and develop tool room personnel Maintain a strong focus on quality, precision, safety, and production requirements Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on tool & die, metal stamping, or tooling operations Ability to read and interpret SolidWorks/CAD drawings and manufacturing prints Experience working with engineering drawings, tolerances, and tooling specifications Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a tool room or manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to support production challenges Preferred Experience: Automotive, industrial, or precision manufacturing background Experience with tooling improvements, die repair, and process optimization Knowledge of machining processes, CNC, EDM, or precision tooling methods This is an opportunity for an experienced tooling professional who understands both the technical side of tooling and the importance of leading a high-performing manufacturing operation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Orion Talent
