Specialist, Document Control

Job Description Position Summary: The Specialist, Document Control & Calibration Support is responsible for maintaining and controlling quality management system documentation while supporting laboratory calibration activities to ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards. This role supports document accuracy, revision control, record retention, equipment calibration tracking, and laboratory quality operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees the control and approval of internal documents such as procedures, work instructions, standards, specifications, forms, master lists, etc. • Issues controlled copies of documents and maintains master lists to track revisions and distribution. • Maintains electronic and paper copies of controlled documents and records. • Assures current revisions of external documents. • Performs internal audits. • Inputs daily quality data collected by inspectors and posts what management deems necessary.
• Give documentation to production and receive it complete
• Maintain good control of blade's folders. • Support Quality and other departments in the creation, maintenance, and control of procedures, work instructions, forms, and other quality related documents. • Prepare and distribute documents, inspection labels, and forms as needed. • Responsible for access to "controlled" hard copy documents stored in the Quality Dept. • Give support to other areas in the quality department. • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Maintain calibration certificates and ensure traceability requirements are met. • Maintain calibration schedules and records for laboratory and production equipment. • Support laboratory activities including sample tracking, data entry, and organization. • Verify calibration status labels and ensure equipment is within calibration dates. Education/ Experience: • Two year degree and/or related experience
• Experience with document control techniques
• Experience with ISO based quality systems, preferred
• Experience writing procedures and work instructions a plus
• Computer proficiency including MS Office
• High attention to detail
