Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Profession: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: CRT NICU

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in pediatrics, neonate, and infant care

License: Required RRT SC license must be in hand at the time of start

Certifications: RRT certification, BLS, PALS, NRP

Must-Have: Epic experience preferred

Description: Position requires working nights on a 3x12 schedule with holiday rotation. Every other weekend is a requirement. On-call duties are not required. Clinician may float within scope based on experience. Candidates will not float to sister facilities. First-time travelers are accepted. All vacation requests must be included at the time of submission; approval will depend on unit needs. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks. Facility is a teaching hospital and is recognized as Magnet and Level 1 Trauma. Staffed beds total 865. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. Travelers must confirm that they can complete necessary compliance on time for the proposed start date. No time-off requests will be accepted after initial submission. Local candidates will be prioritized less than non-local candidates. Candidates who have held a permanent position within the system must be separated for one year before returning as travelers. Must have the South Carolina license in hand or provide proof of application for a pending license. Travelers cannot report to the facility until the SC license is issued and active.
