Typical PPS service payments range from $5.00 to $100.00 per completed service
Approximately 25 to 30 hours per week are tracked for FLSA purposes only
The tracked hours do not determine compensation

On Call Expectations
On call responsibilities may include phone consultations during non-business hours in accordance with policy
Candidates should be comfortable supporting respiratory patients when after-hours clinical guidance is required

Candidates should reside within reasonable commuting distance of Clovis, New Mexico
Candidates must be able to reliably cover an approximately 50-mile service territory

Candidates must be able to meet applicable VA, licensing, and credentialing requirements

Reliable personal vehicle required

Active applicable clinical license required
Ability to independently provide respiratory services in patient homes
Comfortable working with ventilators, PAP therapy, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment
Ability to assess patients and communicate relevant clinical findings to physicians
Strong patient and caregiver education skills
Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation
Ability to travel throughout the assigned 50 mile service area
Strong organization and independent decision making skills

OVERVIEW

Seeking qualified respiratory and nursing clinicians for a permanent part time Paid Per Service position serving Clovis, New Mexico and the surrounding area.

This role focuses on educating, training, assessing, and monitoring patients who use ventilators, PAP therapy, home oxygen, and other respiratory equipment. Clinicians have flexibility in managing their workload while being compensated according to the services and setups they complete.

Maintain accurate information on assigned respiratory patients
Provide initial and ongoing telephone follow up with respiratory patients
Conduct in home patient visits in accordance with company procedures and physician orders
Perform patient assessments that may include history review, symptom evaluation, lung assessment, blood pressure, oximetry, spirometry, and other applicable diagnostics
Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory equipment use and maintenance
Explain prescribed therapy, proper equipment use, compliance expectations, benefits, and potential side effects
Set up and support invasive ventilators
Set up and support noninvasive ventilators
Support PAP therapy and home oxygen equipment
Set up and monitor infant monitors and other high tech respiratory equipment as applicable
Monitor ongoing function of advanced respiratory equipment
Adjust ventilator settings according to patient assessment, physician orders, and procedures
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services performed
Provide after hours telephone consultation when required by policy
Support training and orientation of other personnel when directed by management
Perform other duties consistent with applicable state licensure and company procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required
Active applicable New Mexico clinical license required
RRT, CRT, RN, LPN, or RC credentials accepted
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Reliable personal vehicle required for field travel

Preferred
Completion of an accredited respiratory care program
Degree in respiratory therapy or related science
Nursing or applicable paramedical training
Home respiratory care experience
Home healthcare experience
DME or HME experience
At least one year of related clinical experience
Experience with ventilators, PAP therapy, and oxygen equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to occasionally lift and transport patient equipment

Regular contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
Close vision required for documentation, computer screens, tablets, and equipment
Must comply with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy
Medical evaluation and fit testing required
Annual recertification required
