Tax Manager

Location: Norman, OK Work Arrangement: In-office, or Hybrid Responsibilities Prepares, Review, and Sign individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries. Work with the tax team to ensure the components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and special tax projects. Analyze tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied. Develop solutions and communicate those solutions to the engagement team and client. Manage client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service. Participate in the area of business development. Assist with client billings to ensure they reflect work performed where applicable. Supervise and delegate duties to Associate and Senior Associate level staff. Provide mentoring and technical training for employees in the tax department. Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification. 5-7 years of tax experience within public accounting. Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations. Actively stay up-to-date on changes in tax regulations and policies. Self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment. Ability to focus on complex tasks and quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
