Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 25 Weeks Shift: Day and Night Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred. License: Valid Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to float to other facilities and departments. Description: This position involves rotating shifts of 12 hours during the day and night. RNs will work in a float pool capacity across various units. Experience in critical care, medical/surgical, and trauma settings is preferred. Responsibilities include managing patients with acute and complex conditions. Nurses should have skills in arterial line management and central line care. Knowledge of ECMO management and care of ventilated patients is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in emergency medications. The role requires monitoring patients’ vital signs and managing IV drips. Floating to different units, including emergency and post-anesthesia care, is expected. Interdisciplinary support teams will assist in providing comprehensive patient care. Applicants must have a track record of effective communication and teamwork. Experience in teaching hospitals is valued, with a variety of patient cases. Candidates should be flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs and unit requirements. References from recent employers are necessary to verify experience.
