Details MS/Tele unit in an acute care hospital with 65 staffed beds 26-bed unit with an average daily census of 8 Patient ratio of 1:4-6 Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00) Every other weekend required Block scheduling not available Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active IL RN license or ability to obtain prior to start BLS certification required ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required Experience with both adult and geriatric patient populations required Cerner charting experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Community hospital experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and oxygen administration management Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with cardiac drip management (titration preferred) Wound care/wound vac, ortho trauma, and total joint replacement experience preferred Experience with pacemakers and post-MI care preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care for MS/Tele patients including cardiac telemetry and renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal cases Support rapid response and code team activities as needed Any scrub color accepted, but tee shirts, sweatshirts, and logos from other organizations are not permitted RTO must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview Facility located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base Free parking available in any unrestricted space American Traveler Job ID P-765573.
