Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist lead engineers in applications development: prepare samples, perform analytical tests, record data and observations, prepare summaries of experiments
• Perform die bonding application manually and automatedly.
• Troubleshoot basic process issues and escalate appropriately
• Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis
• Handling microscopic components; use of microscopes, tweezers, vacuum tools.
• Process documentation, basic troubleshooting, maintaining repeatability and yield
• Assist with SEM imaging of samples and other testing as needed

Qualifications and Experience

• BS in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• One or more of the following: Materials testing background , experience working with metals, QC background , lab experience (academia/internship ok)
• Basic computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to log process data
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, communicate effectively.
• Hands-on, good time management skills
• Strong attention to detail; focus on process control, documentation, maintaining quality.
• Able to stand, reach, use fine tools; occasionally lift small weights or handle assembli

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
