Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios - Travel experience required Description: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. First-time travelers are not accepted. Floating may be required to NICU or L&D. Weekends required to meet staffing needs. The unit provides care for post-partum vaginal or cesarean delivery, tubal ligation, and circumcision. Common patient demographics include adolescents, infants, and adults. Required skills include CPAP/BiPap administration, blood/blood products administration, cooling/warming blanket utilization, and obtaining 12 lead EKGs. Experience with drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate is required. The role involves working with OB-GYN post-op, scrub/circulate during cesarean sections, and supporting low-risk antepartum and labor/delivery cases. Attendance at all deliveries is expected. The unit typically holds 16 beds. Two references covering one year of experience are required during the compliance process. Completion of modules is necessary pre-start and annually, and time spent on modules is self-reported.
