BARTENDER

Bartender Position

Must have prior experience making drinks/bartending and multitasking in a fast paced environment.

Pay Range: $3.00 - $5.50 per + tips

This position involves the preparation of drinks, mostly alcoholic beverages, for customers in the bar as well as for customers seated in the regular dining area. Interacts with and monitors bar customers to assure that everyone is 21 or older, does not exceed safe drinking limits and that all Alcohol Beverage Regulations for their locale are closely followed. Problems should be directed to the manager on duty immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Selling of alcoholic beverages to customers
• Checking the customer's identification to confirm that the customer is of legal drinking age.
• Taking payments from customers.
• Making sure all drinks made are accounted for and paid for correctly.
• Keep the bar well stocked by maintaining the liquor, garnishes and glasses at the bar.
• Refuse to server customers that exhibit signs of intoxication.
• Call cabs for customers that are inebriated.
• Keeping records of tabs so in the end they can know how much a customer has had and what is to be paid.
• Pour drinks quickly as per customer's specifications.
• Keep the bar clean.

Skills and Specifications

• Should be able to mix all the different drinks correctly.
• Should be very warm and friendly to encourage customers to continue patronizing their store
• Should be able to multitask and handle all the equipment.
• Should be knowledgeable on all Happy Hour and drinks specials

Education and Qualifications

• To hold a bartender job advanced education is not required as most are promoted from within from existing staff who exhibit the ability to perform the duties of a bartender. Bartenders must be at least 21 years of age and be familiar with the current ABC regulations for their locale. TIPS classes are made available through the company as needed and fees for such classes are paid for by the company.
