Arbor Associates is hiring compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community-based settings. You'll help people build daily living skills, take part in their communities, and work toward their own goals, on a schedule that works for you.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Support recreational, learning, and fitness activities
• Encourage independence, choice, and skill development
• Advocate for individuals' needs, preferences, and goals
• Help with program planning and implementation
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
• Complete accurate documentation and follow program guidelines
• Communicate effectively with program staff and the Arbor team

Job Requirements

What you'll bring

Required

• At least six months of experience in direct care or human services, such as DSP, CNA, HHA, Residential Counselor, PCA, or childcare
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion, dependability, and a commitment to helping others
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it
• Willingness to complete required training, such as CPI, MAP, or Safety-Care, based on assignment
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred

• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
