Store Manager

Job Summary A dynamic leader who reflects the company’s ethos around people, processes, operations, and brand advocacy. Responsible for personal sales, store sales goals, leading a team, managing operations, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Provide guidance, training, and support to sales teams to improve sales techniques, strategies, and overall performance. Lead and supervise the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, selection, training, development, and succession planning. Enhance employee engagement, nurture a positive workplace culture, and build effective teams. Achieve or surpass store and annual operating benchmarks. Model highest standards for surpassing customer expectations. Teach established sales and design processes. Sustain store profitability by maintaining profit and loss statements, financial metrics, and margins. Model and teach product knowledge, champion brand strategy and customer experience. Align merchandising, pricing and product flow to company standards. Ensure cleanliness in employee and customer areas, uphold brand visual standards. Execute sales promotion and events and collaborate with support teams for operational excellence. Ensure proper execution of systems and administrative procedures. Scope & Impact Influence over store financial health, team morale, operational efficiency, and community reputation. Store revenue up to $5 million per year and leadership of up to 15 direct reports. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 3–5 years in a retail sales role with business unit emphasis. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365; financial understanding; adept interpersonal communication; analytical abilities; goal orientation; team management; customer service. Ability to work required schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Requirements Experience managing in a retail environment with a focus on sales. Strong understanding of profit and loss. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills. Experience building effective relationships. Compensation Base salary: $70,304 per year. Commission and bonus: uncapped commission on written sales – 3% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales and 2% on other sales. Monthly bonus opportunity up to $1,500 based on group sales goals. Total compensation range: $70,000–$95,000 per year (inclusive of base, commission, bonus). Additional benefits available through company portal. Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Stand for long periods, repetitive hand motions, hearing and listening, sit, walk, bend, stoop. Work inside conditions; must pass background and drug screen.
